Who the course is for

Must be aged 19 or over and have lived in the UK or EU for a minimum of three years.

For full funding you must be:

  • aged 19 or over
  • receive any state benefit payment (evidence required)
  • unemployed or working less than 16 hours and seeking employment

What you will study

This course equips learners to:

  • identify vacancies
  • promote themselves
  • prepare for a job interview
  • maximise their chance of success at interview for paid employment or volunteering opportunities

The course is designed for:

  • anyone who uses, or would like to use, helping skills at work or in a personal capacity
  • learners who wish to progress towards further qualifications
  • learners who wish to study this programme to complement other programmes, for example, health and social care, children's care, learning and development, voluntary and community work
Entry requirementsThis course is for anyone aged over 19 years.
