Who the course is for

You must be aged 19 or over and have lived in the UK or EU for a minimum of three years.

For full funding you must be:

  • aged 19 or over
  • receive any state benefit payment (evidence required)
  • unemployed or working less than 16 hours and seeking employment
What you will study

This qualification is suitable for learners who are thinking about working as a volunteer.

The course will provide you with an understanding of the role and what personal standards will be required of you.

The course is also suitable for you if you're already in a volunteering role, as it will help to improve both your knowledge and skills.

If you currently work in a volunteering role you will be able to use your experience as evidence towards the qualification.
