This course will last between 8 or 16 sessions depending on whether you're completing an Award or Certificate - this will be discussed with you on enrolment. 

Who is this course for? (Eligibility and personal characteristics)

This course is for anyone aged 19 or over.

We have designed this course to suit a wide variety of learners including the following:

  • Those with an interest in employment
  • Those who are unsure of a career path and looking to try something different
  • Those who may wish to gain confidence with a view to gaining a useful qualification and transferable skills
What will I study? (Key modules or content)

This course has been designed to give learners a solid introduction to a range of transferable skills that will focus on:

  • Preparation for Further Learning or Employment,
  • Building Confidence and Self Esteem,
  • Employability Skills,
  • Personal Safety,  
  • Problem Solving in the Workplace,
  • Health and Safety in the Workplace plus more. 

There will be opportunities for Learners to choose their own sector pathways choosing from a variety of options. 

What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal entry requirements for learners undertaking these qualifications. PRS will undertake initial assessment activities with learners to ensure that the chosen qualification is appropriate and that learners can achieve the level they will be studying before enrolling them onto a programme of learning. 

Requirements of the course (Personal protective equipment, tools, materials)Everything you'll need for this course will be provided by PRS Inclusion Services.
Progression and Careers

The purpose of these qualifications is to enable learners to identify personal learning or employment goals, address areas for personal improvement and achieve employment-based skills, including work-related units. Achievement of the qualifications confirms the learner has gained the knowledge and skills required to:  

• progress into further study at Entry 3 or Level 1 in the vocational subjects studied.  

• progress into entry level employment in the vocational sector.
